Were you getting tired of "The Catalyst" being No. 1? Well, good news: A new song has claimed the top spot on the Billboard Rock Songs chart. Plus, we say goodbye to Five Finger Death Punch and say hello to a new entry from a chart veteran.
10. Alice in Chains - "Lesson Learned"
Alice in Chains have already had two major hits off their comeback album, Black Gives Way to Blue, and now they have a third with "Lesson Learned," which cracks the Top 10 this week. They'll be kicking off the Blackdiamondskye tour September 16.
9. Phoenix - "Lisztomania"
Phoenix hold tight at No. 9 for a second straight week, but it looks like "Lisztomania" could be on its way down the charts. The French band will be touring North America in October.
8. Mumford & Sons - "Little Lion Man"
The folk-rock combo Mumford & Sons move up two more notches this week with "Little Lion Man." One of the year's hotter new acts, the West Londoners will be starting their North American tour October 18.
7. Neon Trees - "Animal"
After losing some ground last week, Neon Trees regain a little momentum, moving up one spot with "Animal." The indie-rock quartet are from Utah, and all four members are Mormons, an anomaly among rock acts.
6. Rise Against - "Savior"
Rise Against stay stuck at No. 6 for a third straight week. As a testament to the song's longevity, "Savior" was recently certified gold.
5. The Dirty Heads Featuring Rome - "Lay Me Down"
The Dirty Heads are finally starting to show some slippage, as their summer smash, "Lay Me Down," drops another place to No. 5. Despite the song's success, the album it's off of, Any Port in a Storm, hasn't enjoyed much residual sales, never even cracking the Billboard Top 40.
4. Stone Sour - "Say You'll Haunt Me"
Nothing seems to be slowing down "Say You'll Haunt Me." The first single from Stone Sour's Audio Secrecy is up another notch to No. 4 this week. The album debuted at No. 6, the best start for a Stone Sour record to date.
3. Avenged Sevenfold - "Nightmare"
Avenged Sevenfold can't seem to dislodge themselves from the No. 3 spot -- they win the bronze medal on our chart for the third straight week. Still, it was another week of strong sales and airplay for the Southern California metal band.
2. Linkin Park - "The Catalyst"
After five weeks at No. 1, Linkin Park finally no longer rule the roost. Granted, they're still sitting comfortably at No. 2, but it's the first time that "The Catalyst" hasn't been in the top spot since its chart debut.
