On this week's Billboard Rock Songs chart, the key word is "movement." With a few notable exceptions, songs are either zooming up or down the chart with a speed we rarely see. Does that mean that Disturbed couldn't hold on to No. 1 for a second week? Let's find out.
10. Kings of Leon - "Radioactive"
The heavily anticipated new album from Kings of Leon, Come Around Sundown, drops October 19. In the meantime, the first single, "Radioactive," enters the Top 10 this week.
9. Phoenix - "Lisztomania"
For a third straight week, Phoenix sit at No. 9 on our chart. It doesn't look like "Lisztomania" will prove as popular as the group's previous single, "1901," but that doesn't mean the French four-piece are ready to leave the Top 10 any time soon.
8. Rise Against - "Savior"
"Savior" drops two notches this week. Rise Against are underway with the recording of their follow-up to Appeal to Reason.
7. The Dirty Heads Featuring Rome - "Lay Me Down"
Also plunging two spots this week is the summer hit "Lay Me Down." The Dirty Heads are currently touring with OAR.
6. Linkin Park - "The Catalyst"
Looks like it's easy come, easy go for Linkin Park. After ruling the Rock Songs chart for weeks, "The Catalyst," the lead single from A Thousand Suns, has taken quite a tumble, falling four spots this week.
5. Mumford & Sons - "Little Lion Man"
The folk-rock buzz band Mumford & Sons are making a big noise with "Little Lion Man." The first single from their debut, Sigh No More, bolts up three places this week.
4. Neon Trees - "Animal"
Not to be outdone by Mumford & Sons, another much-hyped indie group, Neon Trees, are showing some spunk this week, rising three spots to No. 4.
3. Avenged Sevenfold - "Nightmare"
Some things change, but some stay the same. For the fourth week in a row, Avenged Sevenfold are at No. 3 with the title track off Nightmare.
2. Disturbed - "Another Way to Die"
1. Stone Sour - "Say You'll Haunt Me"
So far in this week's Top 10, there have been two bands that have jumped up three spots. Stone Sour are the third: "Say You'll Haunt Me" flies up from No. 4 to claim the big prize on our chart. Off Audio Secrecy, it's one of the year's best songs.
