On this week's Billboard Rock Songs chart, Avenged Sevenfold take a tumble as "Nightmare" exits the Top 10. So we have room for a new song, which is actually an old song.
10. Papa Roach - "Kick in the Teeth"
"Kick in the Teeth" holds on to No. 10 for a second straight week for Papa Roach. It seems unbelievable that it's been 10 years since their debut single, "Last Resort."
9. Phoenix - "Lisztomania"
Weeks ago, this cut off Phoenix's Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix dropped out of the Top 10, presumably never to be heard from again. But the French band bounce back to No. 9 this week.
8. Linkin Park - "Waiting for the End"
Linkin Park rise a notch this week with "Waiting for the End." The second single off A Thousand Suns is currently featured in commercials for the Fox sci-fi series Fringe.
7. The Dirty Heads Featuring Rome - "Lay Me Down"
Thirty-seven weeks into its run, "Lay Me Down" holds tight at No. 7 for a second week in a row. It's very possible this Dirty Heads track will be the biggest one-hit wonder of 2010.
6. Mumford & Sons - "Little Lion Man"
After peaking at No. 4 about a month ago, Mumford & Sons are losing ground, dropping another spot this week to No. 5. Still, look for the group's debut record, Sigh No More, to end up on some end-of-the-year album lists.
5. Godsmack - "Love-Hate-Sex-Pain"
Godsmack continue their beeline to the top of the charts. "Love-Hate-Sex-Pain" is already at No. 5 after cracking the Top 10 just two weeks ago.
4. Kings of Leon - "Radioactive"
Despite their recent appearance on Saturday Night Live, Kings of Leon's lead single from Come Around Sundown has lost some momentum on our chart. "Radioactive" drops one spot to No. 4.
3. Neon Trees - "Animal"
"Animal" held the No. 2 spot for quite some time, but Neon Trees never could quite grab the big prize. This week, they fall one notch to No. 3.
2. The Black Keys - "Tighten Up"
"Tighten Up" is currently the No. 1 track on Billboard's Alternative Rock Songs chart, and they may repeat that feat on our chart: The Black Keys bolt up two places to land at No. 2.
1. Stone Sour - "Say You'll Haunt Me"
For six weeks in a row, "Say You'll Haunt Me" (the first single from Audio Secrecy) is the No. 1 rock song in the country. Stone Sour are no doubt celebrating in Europe, where they're currently touring until the end of November.
