This week's Billboard Rock Songs chart runs the gamut from punk, metal, and alternative. But the No. 1 track remains the same one as it's been for more than a month.
10. Muse - "Uprising"
Muse's modern-rock hit "Uprising" has helped their latest album, The Resistance, go gold. They'll be hitting the road for a North American tour starting in September.
9. Disturbed - "Another Way to Die"
8. Ozzy Osbourne - "Let Me Hear You Scream"
Ozzy Osbourne is back with his first album in three years with Scream. (I haven't had a chance to review it yet, but if you've heard the album, let me know what you think of it.) At 61, Ozzy is easily the oldest artist on this week's chart.
7. Rise Against - "Savior"
Punk band Rise Against's latest album, Appeal to Reason, is the group's highest-charting record and has spawned three hit singles. The latest, "Savior," peaked at No. 3 on the Rock Songs chart.
6. Cage the Elephant - "In One Ear"
5. Phoenix - "1901"
More than a year after its release as a single, Phoenix's "1901" remains ubiquitous on rock radio. It's easy to see why since the song is so insanely, ridiculously addictive.
4. 30 Seconds to Mars - "This Is War"
30 Seconds to Mars will be starting a U.S. tour at the end of August to support last year's This Is War. In the meantime, the album's title track continues its climb up the Rock Songs chart.
3. Shinedown - "The Crow & the Butterfly"
One of 2010's best rock songs, Shinedown's "The Crow & the Butterfly" is a highlight off the band's 2008 record, The Sound of Madness. This is the fifth single off the album, which was certified platinum earlier this year.
2. The Dirty Heads Featuring Rome - "Lay Me Down"
It wouldn't be summer without a laid-back beach jam, and it appears that 2010's entry is "Lay Me Down," a collaboration between the Dirty Heads and Rome Ramirez, the new vocalist for the reunited Sublime (who, for legal reasons, have to call themselves Sublime With Rome).
1. Three Days Grace - "The Good Life"
Since early June, Three Days Grace's "The Good Life" has taken the top spot on the Rock Songs chart. It's the second hit off the Canadian quartet's 2009 album, Life Starts Now.
