"Radioactive," 'Great Gatsby' Light Up Charts

A soundtrack to an adaptation of one of the Great American Novels scores big in its debut week on the Billboard Rock Charts. But once again, we have to talk about Imagine Dragons, who are just destroying everything in their wake on the singles charts.

For eight weeks now, "Radioactive" has been No. 1 on the Rock Songs chart. Elsewhere in the Top Five, AWOLNATION make a little headway with "Sail," which is up a notch to No. 4. Also, keep an eye out for Lana Del Rey, who skips up four spots to No. 9 with her single "Young and Beautiful."

If you turn on rock radio, there's an excellent chance you'll hear Imagine Dragons. "Radioactive" takes the top spot on the Rock Airplay chart for an 11th consecutive week. And entering the Top Five is "Up in the Air," the new single from Thirty Seconds to Mars.

Though the soundtrack to director Baz Lurhmann's take on The Great Gatsby includes plenty of hip-hop songs, there's also some rock featured, particularly Jack White's cover of the U2 tune "Love Is Blindness." The soundtrack debuts at No. 1 on the Rock Albums chart, pushing Imagine Dragons' Night Visions to No. 2. We have two other new entries in the Top Five: The male-female duo She & Him grab No. 3 with Volume 3, and leader of the Dixie Chicks, Natalie Maines, hits No. 4 with her solo disc Mother.

Guitar hero Joe Satriani has been putting out solo albums since the mid-'80s. His latest, Unstoppable Momentum, is the champ on the Hard Rock Albums chart. Reentering the Top Five is the most recent disc from Halestorm, The Strange Case of..., which lands at No. 5.
