One of 2012's top rookie bands continues to have a stranglehold on the Billboard Rock Charts in early 2013.

5. Ed Sheeran - "The A Team" (Purchase/Download)

"Ho Hey" has now been No. 1 on the Rock Songs chart for eight weeks in a row. If there's a song that could dislodge it from the top, my money would be on "It's Time." (The Imagine Dragons single moves up a spot to No. 3.) By the way, "Ho Hey" isn't the only song making waves on the Rock Songs chart from the Lumineers: "Stubborn Love" is currently at No. 11.

5. Atlas Genius - "Trojans" (Purchase/Download)

"Madness," off Muse's The 2nd Law, continues to rule the Rock Airplay chart. It's been at No. 1 for seven of the last eight weeks, besting Mumford & Sons' "I Will Wait." Reentering the Top Five are Atlas Genius, whose "Trojans" lands at No. 5.

Our brand new No. 1 on the Rock Albums chart comes from a record that's been out since April. At long last, The Lumineers tops the chart, leaping up two spots. The debut disc from the Denver folk-rock group was recently certified gold.

The Lumineers also earns its first ever No. 1 spot on the Alternative Albums chart, jumping up from No. 2. Our only new entry in the Top Five is Fade, the latest disc from the celebrated New Jersey indie-rock trio Yo La Tengo. It checks in at No. 5.

Meanwhile, making their debut in the Top Five is the metal band The Plot in You: Their wonderfully titled Could You Watch Your Children Burn lands at No. 4.
