With the holidays fast approaching, new rock releases are slowing down to a trickle. Not surprisingly, then, this week's Billboard Rock Charts offer precious little movement. Bands from the '70s to the present are all represented here, catering to fans of everything from American Idol to stripper-rock.

Rock Songs Chart

1. The Lumineers - "Ho Hey" (Purchase/Download)
2. Phillip Phillips - "Home" (Purchase/Download)
3. fun. - "Some Nights" (Purchase/Download)
4. Ed Sheeran - "The A Team" (Purchase/Download)
5. Alex Clare - "Too Close" (Purchase/Download)

For a second straight week, "Ho Hey" is No. 1 on the Rock Songs chart. Our previous No. 1, "Some Nights" from fun., falls another spot to No. 3. Just below the Top Five are Imagine Dragons, who have two big hits at the moment: "It's Time" (No. 6) and "Radioactive" (No. 8).

Rock Airplay Chart

1. Muse - "Madness" (Purchase/Download)
2. Mumford & Sons - "I Will Wait" (Purchase/Download)
3. The Black Keys - "Little Black Submarines" (Purchase/Download)
4. The Lumineers - "Ho Hey" (Purchase/Download)
5. Three Days Grace - "Chalk Outline" (Purchase/Download)

No movement in the Top Five of the Rock Airplay chart is great news for Muse. Their hit "Madness" holds on to the top spot for a second straight week. But keep an eye out for Shinedown: Their latest single, "Enemies," rises to No. 10 and is hoping to keep on zooming up the chart.

Rock Albums Chart

1. Phillip Phillips - The World From the Side of the Moon (Purchase/Download)
2. Mumford & Sons - Babel (Purchase/Download)
3. Led Zeppelin - Celebration Day (Purchase/Download)
4. Kid Rock - Rebel Soul (Purchase/Download)
5. The Lumineers - The Lumineers (Purchase/Download)

The World From the Side of the Moon, the debut disc from American Idol champ Phillip Phillips, keeps doing quite well on the Rock Albums chart. For a third straight week, it sits at No. 1, followed closely behind by Babel, which leaps up a spot to No. 2. Meanwhile, Kid Rock's Rebel Soul plunges two spots to No. 4.

Alternative Songs Chart

1. Muse - "Madness" (Purchase/Download)
2. Mumford & Sons - "I Will Wait" (Purchase/Download)
3. The Black Keys - "Little Black Submarines" (Purchase/Download)
4. The Lumineers - "Ho Hey" (Purchase/Download)
5. Atlas Genius - "Trojans" (Purchase/Download)

Most of the Top Five on the Alternative Songs chart holds pat from a week ago, which means that "Madness" rules the roost for a ninth week in a row. The only new entry is Atlas Genius, the Australian band whose debut single "Trojans" lands at No. 5.

Alternative Albums Chart

1. Mumford & Sons - Babel (Purchase/Download)
2. The Lumineers - The Lumineers (Purchase/Download)
3. fun. - Some Nights (Purchase/Download)
4. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 soundtrack (Purchase/Download)
5. Mumford & Sons - Sigh No More (Purchase/Download)

Babel is at No. 1 on the Alternative Albums chart for a third straight week. (Interestingly, it's also No. 1 on the Folk Albums chart.)

Hard Rock Albums Chart

1. Led Zeppelin - Celebration Day (Purchase/Download)
2. Trans-Siberian Orchestra - Dreams of Fireflies (On a Christmas Night) (Purchase/Download)
3. Hinder - Welcome to the Freakshow (Purchase/Download)
4. Aerosmith - Music From Another Dimension! (Purchase/Download)
5. Soundgarden - King Animal (Purchase/Download)

Bad-boy rockers Hinder make their debut in the Top Five of the Hard Rock Albums chart; their latest album, Welcome to the Freakshow, arrives at No. 3. But at a time when The Hobbit is about to arrive in theaters, it's probably appropriate that a band who loved making references to J.R.R. Tolkien's work, Led Zeppelin, remains at No. 1.
