Nine Inch Nails Will Tour This Year

As Trent Reznor prepares to dive into his first tour with How to Destroy Angels, there's also a lot of activity surrounding his old band that made him famous. Back in November, he mentioned that Nine Inch Nails could be working on new music in the near future. On Monday, Reznor offered more info about NIN's plans.

In a statement, Reznor opened by announcing, "Nine Inch Nails are touring this year." As background, he explained that he had recently been collaborating with musician Adrian Belew "which led to some discussion on performing, which led to some beard-scratching, which (many steps later) led to the decision to re-think the idea of what Nine Inch Nails could be, and the idea of playing a show." Reznor says that tour dates will begin in the summer and that a "full-on arena tour" will occur in the fall. And then next year, Nine Inch Nails will be touring across the globe.

This reunited NIN will feature a new lineup, though, including former Jane's Addiction bassist Eric Avery, although for most fans, this band starts and ends with Reznor. We already knew that he had a pretty full plate for 2013. Now, we know it's gotten even more crowded.
