When Dave Matthews Band put out an album, it sometimes seems like that's just the appetizer before the real main course: their lengthy, years-long tour cycle to support the record. Last fall's Away From the World was moderately successful by their standards -- it's already gone gold -- but DMB's fan base is such that it doesn't matter how good or bad a new record is. They'll go see these guys live regardless.
Dave Matthews Band will be doing some one-off shows in the spring, but their official summer dates kick off May 17 in Woodlands, Texas. They'll be traveling across the U.S. and also making a stop in Toronto, their only significant break between May and September being the first few weeks of August. Once tickets go on sale, I do wonder if some extra dates will be announced after the initial show at certain cities sells out.
