On January 1, 2010, Soundgarden set in motion their reunion by sending out a tweet that made fans think that the seminal Seattle quartet were getting back together: "The 12 year break is over & school is back in session." Turns out it was all a big misunderstanding, but the euphoric reaction was such that Chris Cornell and the rest of the guys decided to give it a go anyway. Now, a little less than three years later, their new album, King Animal is nearly upon us, and the band will be heading out on tour.
The tour starts mid-January in our nation's capital and will be swinging through some major cities in the U.S and Canada, ending up in Los Angeles in mid-February. My hunch is that these dates are just the beginning.
