Muse aren't interested in making modest, introspective indie pop. As they demonstrate on their latest, The 2nd Law, this alt-rock trio are all about producing gloriously oversize arena rock. Of course, such bold ambitions open you up to criticism that you're a pretentious artist, but Matt Bellamy and the rest of the group clearly don't care. Neither do their fans: Muse have been on a commercial hot streak of late, and I don't see that ending with their new disc.
