How to Destroy Angels Prepping EP, First Full-Length Album

Since Trent Reznor put out Nine Inch Nails' last album, The Slip, he's been busy with other creative projects. A lot of those have involved him collaborating with musician Atticus Ross, whether it's on the scores for The Social Network (which won them an Oscar) or The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo or for their side project How to Destroy Angels. That band, which also includes Reznor's wife Mariqueen Maandig, put out a self-titled EP in 2010, but we haven't heard much from them since.

That changed on Friday when Reznor sent out a status update on Facebook indicating that HTDA would be releasing an EP on November 13 called An Omen. "It contains six songs, some of which are from our full-length LP which is coming early next year," Reznor wrote. (His wife later tweeted the EP vinyl cover art.) There's no idea yet what the title of the full-length will be, or specifically when it's coming out, although a subsequent press release suggested it might be arriving in the spring. For now, the group's plans remain a little out of focus, not unlike the band photo they sent along with the announcement.
