Green Day reinvented themselves with their terrific recent concept albums American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown. But with their new disc, Uno!, they decide not to go for a hat trick. Instead, they blast through 12 compact garage-rock ragers that you would never confuse with entries in a rock opera. Uno! will be the first album of a three-set collection, and so far the trilogy is off to a great start.
