But what at first might have seemed like some punk-rock posturing turned more serious on Sunday when the band revealed on their Facebook page that Armstrong was "seeking treatment for substance abuse." Furthermore, the post acknowledged, "We would like everyone to know that our set was not cut short by Clear Channel and to apologize to those we offended at the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas." The band will be postponing some of their Uno! appearances, although it's unclear if the group's tour dates, which start in November, will be affected.
Sadly, this is not the first time Armstrong has had problems with drugs or alcohol. In 2003, he had a DUI. "I had a tendency in my past to get caught up in partying too much or making bad decisions," he told Details in 2011. All the details aren't yet available about what happened in Las Vegas, but it appears that perhaps Armstrong made another bad decision.
