Band of Horses don't specialize in aggressive rock songs. Instead, they make comforting, wistful tunes that dabble in rock, folk and country. Their latest album, Mirage Rock, is another strong set of sentimental songs about making your way through life trying to find a little bit of contentment. That's not a particularly profound topic, but frontman Ben Bridwell infuses it with a great deal of feeling. This is music meant for relaxing around the house and letting your troubles slip away.
