Scott Stapp Memoir Coming in October

By the early 2000s, it looked like Creed were on their last legs. Tensions between frontman Scott Stapp and the rest of the band, exacerbated by Stapp's drug and alcohol addiction, caused Creed to split up. (Stapp put out a solo album, The Great Divide, that wasn't a strong seller.) But in 2009, the band reunited, which led to Full Circle and a second chance. Now, Stapp is going to be releasing a book that details the dark times that led to the band's initial dissolution.

The memoir, called Sinner's Creed, is set for an October 2 release. "The book describes my childhood, my internal battle with drugs and depression and how I lost control of my life," Stapp wrote in a statement. This book has been in the works for a while: When we first heard about it back in March 2011, the working title was Exposed and Released: The Confessions of Scott Stapp. ("It's going to be constantly interrelated with the realities of God's grace and love and miracles, and how they happen in the weirdest ways and how they happen to all of us," he said at the time.)

Creed will be done with their current set of tour dates by October, so beyond Sinner's Creed fans will be wondering if they'll be getting any new Creed music soon. Last year, Stapp talked about the possibility of another solo album, but there hasn't been any more information about that lately. In the meantime, Stapp will be looking back at his past, not necessarily concentrating on his and his band's future.

It’s amazing that what accomplishments Scott Stapp has made in life, but it will be curious what he will write about his real family, His Mom Linda, and his Dad Steven, they raised Scott, and frankly speaking Scott has forgotten his real childhood family. His current wife Jocelyn stunning lady, and well accomplished urges Scott to not have a relationship or to not have anything to do with the original Stapp Family. It is sad, but we pray for Scott Stapp, we pray he does rekindle his relationships, this will make him complete and then he can live up to all the changes he states he has accomplished. Scott coming out publicly will put scrutiny on this issue, I hope Scott and Jocelyn will embrace the fact that this truth will come out in the in this duration. Kiki

,My husband is related to Scott by blood but he’s never met him. He even looks a little like him. I understand him not having anything to do with his dad because I would probably do the same if I was in his situation but there is some good people in the family like my husband and my kids that would love to just meet him one day. Anyway for now we are just fans and we”ll surely be reading the book .

This guy is the biggest piece of human s**t that walked. He is a beater of women and doesn’t deserve the f***ing paper it’s printed on. He really should be serving jail time for the lives he’s ruined.

Scott Stapp is only human after all. He had a horrible childhood and he did in fact suffer emotional and physical abuse at the hands of his step-dad. Scott was beaten regularly and severely at times. I’m sure his step-dad hit Scott thinking he was raising him morally correct but we now know that hitting children is not the solution. Anyway, that is why Scott reacted the way he did. Counseling, love from his family, and anger management will be a blessing. I am certain they’ll look into these options if they haven’t already. Scott, his familys, and band are doing great.

I can’t wait to read the book. I’m certain it will contain a lot of insight.
