It's not uncommon for musicians to set up residencies in Las Vegas, but they tend to be artists like Celine Dion or Elton John, not rock 'n' roll bands. (Although Motley Crue did a Vegas residency earlier this year.) But today, Guns N' Roses revealed that they'll be setting up shop in Vegas this fall.
It will only be for 12 shows, but it's going to happen at the Joint, which is part of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. (Motley Crue's residency was at the same venue.) The first performance will be Halloween evening, and they'll be playing Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and one Sunday, with the final show occurring November 24. (It's not a consistent weekly schedule, though, so if you're interested, you should definitely check out the Joint's website.)
In case you're wondering, this residency is being called "Appetite for Democracy" and promises to include hits from every era of the band's career, including those from Chinese Democracy. The real question, of course, is whether Axl Rose will come on stage at the scheduled time, an ongoing issue with the mercurial frontman. We'll see this fall.
