Fans of System of a Down perhaps have mixed feelings about frontman Serj Tankian's solo career. While the politically outspoken singer has produced three solid solo albums since System went on hiatus, including this month's Harakiri, they've lacked the concentrated firepower of his main band's best efforts. But while System keep talking about maybe doing another album, the faithful will have to content themselves with Tankian's records in the meantime.
Tankian will be heading out on a seven-date West Coast swing in September that stretches from Vancouver to Los Angeles. (This, of course, will be after System of a Down do a little roadwork in August.) Then in October, he'll be flying over to Europe for a month of shows. After that, might System be up for a little more touring? We'll have to wait and see.
