Band of Horses have always gone back and forth between reverb-heavy guitar-rock and pleasant, backwoods indie-rock. Their new album, Mirage Rock, will be arriving September 18, and if its first single is any indication, the quintet have once again produced a collection of highly listenable tunes.
The band today made available "Knock Knock," which is full of lovely guitars and feel-good vibes. The song definitely feels like it would have fit in just fine on the band's last disc, 2010's Infinite Arms, which opened up their sound and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Music Album.
While we wait for September, you can check out the album's track list. And if you'd like to catch Band of Horses live, they'll be playing with My Morning Jacket starting in late July.
Mirage Rock Track List:
- "Knock Knock"
- "How to Live
- "Slow Cruel Hands of Time"
- "A Little Biblical"
- "Shut-In Tourist"
- "Dumpster World"
- "Electric Music"
- "Everything's Gonna Be Undone"
