NME reports that the group just revealed information about their forthcoming record in a novel way: through a pseudo-movie trailer. It's on the band's website now, and with its images of worldwide panic and economic collapse, you have to wonder if it's going to be a concept album. But all we know for sure is that it's going to be called The 2nd Law and that it's due to arrive in September. That would meant its release will be exactly three years after The Resistance.
In late 2011, Muse bassist Chris Wolstenholme said in an interview that the trio "feel like we are drawing a line under a certain period of what we've done in our career. It feels like it's time to move on and do something radically different." Making a movie trailer to promote your next record would definitely qualify.
