Red Hot Chili Peppers were supposed to be kicking off a U.S. tour to support I'm With You on Friday. That's not happening now: About a week ago, word got out that frontman Anthony Kiedis had to have surgery on his right foot to fix a lingering problem that's apparently been bothering him since the band toured for Stadium Arcadium five years ago.
The good news is that the U.S. tour is still on, even if some of the dates will now be happening seven months after the original show was supposed to take place. Still, Chili Peppers fans know it could be worse: In 2010, U2 postponed shows for nearly a year due to Bono's emergency back surgery.
