After years of inactivity, Jane's Addiction returned in 2011 with The Great Escape Artist, a very strong comeback album. Well, I thought it was: Reviews as a whole were generally pretty mixed for the disc. But perhaps more disappointing for the band and their fans, the album failed to have much of a commercial impact, not even hitting the Billboard Top 10. (Plus, none of its singles were major hits.)
Nonetheless, Jane's have announced a North American tour that kicks off at the end of next month in St. Louis. They'll be joined on these dates by garage-rockers Black Box Revelation, who weren't even around when Perry Farrell & Co. put out their last studio album way back in 2003.
Update: Jane's Addiction have announced tour dates for May.

no. It IS a strong comeback album. I guess i dont expect it to resonate with the mainstream because the music is influenced by a of form rock that has a cult following. shimmering walls of sound ala my bloody valentine, and guitar riffs that sound like a Billy Duffy’s style
