Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker has been talking about his first solo album since last November, and it appears that it's getting a little closer to seeing the light of day. According to XXLMag.com, the as-yet-untitled set could be arriving in October.
The website reports that, as tipped earlier, the album will feature a lot of high-profile guests, most of them hip-hop artists. Lil Wayne, RZA, and the Game had been mentioned earlier, but now it seems that Eminem, Lupe Fiasco, Pharrell, and Clipse have taken part in the record as well.
Like Slash's self-titled debut from earlier this year, Barker won't be singing (or rapping) on his record: He'll be leaving that to his famous friends. As for Barker's day-job band, Blink-182, the thought is that they'll finally get around to recording their comeback album in the fall. At the start of 2010, it seemed possible we'd be getting two Blink-related records by the end of the year. Right now, it seems like we'll only get one, but considering the delays in the Barker solo disc, even that's not a sure thing.
