The Mirror reports that Manson proposed on stage in Paris on Monday, a day before his 41st birthday. Manson and Wood had dated for two years before breaking up in October 2008. There had been rumors in the past year that they were back together, despite the fact that several songs on The High End of Low were inspired by their split, but Manson revealed in December that they had indeed reunited.
This would be Manson's second marriage -- he had previously been married to model Dita Von Teese, but they divorced around the time he first started seeing Wood. (Interestingly, his previous album, Eat Me, Drink Me, contained references to his failed relationship with Von Teese.)
How will these developments in his personal life affect his forthcoming music? It's hard to say since the shock-rocker currently isn't signed to a label. But with all the headlines he's generated lately, he's definitely not hurting for exposure.
