Linkin Park Side Project, Dead by Sunrise, Set for July 4 Vegas Performance
Linkin Park are working away on their follow-up to 2007’s Minutes to Midnight, but the next album from the group will actually be from singer Chester Bennington’s side band, Dead by Sunrise. The album is slated for a fall release, but if you’re in Las Vegas over Independence Day weekend, you can catch Dead by Sunrise’s live on July 4 at the Steve Wyrick Theatre.
Be warned, though: In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Bennington said it will only be an acoustic show, so you won’t get the full experience of the group’s self-described electronic rock. (Also interesting is that the article says Bennington claimed this would be the band’s “debut performance,” when in fact it appears that Dead by Sunrise first played live back in May 2008.)
No album title or firm release date has been confirmed as of yet, but Dead by Sunrise’s MySpace page does feature one track, “Morning After,” which may or may not be part of the final record.
