Working on an album is difficult enough creatively without having to worry about physical abuse, but that’s exactly what happened to Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament when he and an employee were confronted by robbers outside the Atlanta studio where the band are recording their next record with Brendan O’Brien.
Rolling Stone acquired the police report of the incident, which occurred April 27, and mentioned that three assailants carrying knives swiped “$3,000 in cash and $4,320 worth of goods” from Ament, leaving him with a head laceration. Pearl Jam haven’t released any statement about the altercation, although presumably Ament has recovered from the attack.
The robbers are still at large.
