Faith No More were the nerviest, artiest metal band of the late ‘80s and early ‘90s, but after 1992’s extraordinary Angel Dust, the group slowly disintegrated. Faith No More broke up a decade ago, but rumors have persisted for about a year that they would be reforming. Turns out that the gossip proved to be partly true: Faith No More have confirmed that they will be reuniting for a European summer tour.
If you want more details than that, well, good luck finding them. The extent of the European tour is unclear, and the participation of former guitarist Jim Martin (who abandoned ship long before the group finally disbanded) remains in doubt. And sorry, American fans, but Faith No More seem determined not to play any dates in their home country. Pretty disappointing, I know – but in some ways perfect from a band whose biggest song contained these tell-tale lyrics: “You want it all/But you can’t have it/It’s in your face/But you can’t grab it.”
