Blink-182 haven’t functioned as a band since 2005, but rumors began swirling last week that the group would be reuniting after it was announced they’d be appearing on stage together to give out the Grammy for Best Rock Album. (Aiding those rumors was a comment made Thursday night by David Kennedy, guitarist for Blink member Tom DeLonge’s new band, Angels & Airwaves: “Blink is coming back.”)
Last night, Blink-182 put any doubts to bed with an official statement. “This past week there’ve been a lot of questions about the current status of the band, and we wanted you to hear it straight from us,” the statement said in part. “To put it simply, We’re back. We mean, really back.” Although there are no details included, a new album and a world tour are mentioned in the release, which concludes with these words: “Summer 2009. Thanks and get ready…”
If a new Blink-182 album came out this summer, it would be 10 years exactly since the release of their breakthrough record, Enema of the State.

Here, someone’s opinion can’t be a lie.. even if you disagree. But yeah sure they looked awkward, but like the things they’ve said about each other and the s*** they’ve been through will do that. I’m a bit nervous about what they’re going to sound like :S
Who cares! They’re a great band. I’m sure they’ll be just as great as they used to be.
I’m just glad they’re finally back together again. They’ll just keep getting better and better, and hopefully they’ll retire or something when their music is at the peak and the best it can be or whatever, and then they can just relax. Yay!
