Live Returning With Concert CD/DVD
Live have struggled to maintain the rabid fan base they commanded during the ‘90s with albums like Throwing Copper – the Pennsylvania rockers haven’t had a platinum record in almost a decade. Interestingly, though, they’ve remained a decent touring act, especially overseas. Perhaps that’s why their upcoming live CD/DVD, Live at the Paradiso, will be culled from two shows they did in Amsterdam this summer.
While the set list for Live at the Paradiso, out November 11, leans heavily on older hits, the band will try to pique fans’ curiosity with two new songs, “Purifier” and “Forever.” If you want to sample “Forever,” it’s available on Live’s MySpace page – the song is very much in the earnest-emotional mode of many of the band’s biggest hits, although frontman Ed Kowalczyk has toned down the spleen-venting vocals.
