Linkin Park Win Best Rock Video at MTV Video Music Awards
Monday September 8, 2008
Linkin Park beat out competition that included Foo Fighters and Slipknot to win Best Rock Video at last night’s MTV Video Music Awards for “Shadow of the Day.” Accepting the award, lead singer Chester Bennington thanked Linkin Park band member Joe Hahn, who directed “Shadow of the Day.” “This award really goes to him,” Bennington said. “He makes amazing videos for us all the time, and we couldn’t be more proud of him [and] his work.”
This is now the fourth Moonman won by Linkin Park and their third for Best Rock Video. Backstage after winning the award, Hahn told the press, “This is a cool video because it’s one that the whole band wasn’t in. It was just Chester and he carried the whole video. We’re trying to do different things so it feels good to win for that.”

the best part of the VMA’s was Kanye West’s performance at the end… the worst part was the host (what’s with the accent?)
